The open access journal RiMe. Rivista dell’Istituto di Storia dell’Europa Mediterranea now published a selection of papers that were presented during the ReIReS workshop early 2019 in Rome on Religious Culture and Education in 20th and 21st Century Europe.

Marcello Verga in the preface: “A careful attention to religious history in educational programs is a necessary basis for a full understanding of the plurality and variety of European culture and for the assumption of this variety as a common cultural background. For this reason, the dissemination of a proper knowledge of European religiousin schoolbooks could contribute to alleviate the religious illiteracy in our society.”

The journal contains contributions of Francesca Cadeddu, Federica Candico, Vito Loré, Carla Noce, Denis Pelletier, Michele Maria Rabà, Isabelle Saint-Martin, Aurora Savelli, and Liliane Simeonova. Editors: Maria Guiseppina Meloni and Anna Maria Oliva.
